Tuesday, 2/13/24:
Sen. Scott Herndon introduced this bill in Senate State Affairs last week. Herndon was party to a lawsuit that reached the State Supreme Court last year in which a private entity leased a public park in Sandpoint and then banned carrying firearms, which are typically allowed on public properties. This bill would close that loophole. The committee voted to introduce it and it was printed as S1310.
