Idaho Freedom Foundation has rated H418 +2.
Monday, 1/22/24:
Rep. Jordan Redman has introduced a bill to provide an alternate pathway for potential physicians in Idaho. Currently, medical school graduates must navigate a Byzantine system of residency requirements to become licensed doctors in our state, but this bill would allow them to practice as “assistant physicians” for three years and then apply for a full license. Redman says this would help alleviate a shortage of doctors in Idaho. The bill was printed as H418 and awaits a full committee hearing.
