
Jason Scott
Justice-designate (assumes office Oct. 30, 2026)
Jason Scott has served twelve years as a district judge in Idaho’s Fourth Judicial District, covering Ada and Valley counties. A graduate of Idaho State University and Duke University School of Law, he clerked for U.S. District Judge Lynn Winmill and spent seven years at the Boise firm Hawley Troxell before joining the bench. Governor Brad Little selected him from a three-name shortlist submitted by the Idaho Judicial Council to succeed retiring Chief Justice Bevan. Scott is scheduled to be sworn in as a justice of the Idaho Supreme Court effective October 30, 2026.
