WASHINGTON — Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson cosponsored H.R. 5722 – Preserving a Sharia-Free America Act. This legislation would prevent all foreign nationals who observe Sharia from entering the United States or from remaining in the country, prioritizing our security and values nationwide. Additionally, Rep. Simpson joined the Sharia-Free America Caucus.
“Americans nationwide just remembered 25 years since radical Islamic terrorists killed 2,977 people, and the threat of Sharia law in the United States continues to be on the rise,” said Rep. Simpson. “Sharia law has no place in this country and is incompatible with American values, our way of life, and the United States Constitution. I’m proud to join these Sharia-Free America efforts.”
