Idaho State Tax Commission

RELEASE: Parental Choice Tax Credit Application Period Now Closed

The Idaho State Tax Commission has closed the application period for the Parental Choice Tax Credit program because the program has reached the nearly $50 million limit allowed for this year. The law requires the program to close by August 15 or when it reaches the maximum limit allowed, whichever comes first.

As the Tax Commission finishes processing received applications, it will continue to update available program statistics. To find application totals, visit myschoolchoice.idaho.gov. For award amounts, see the Parental Choice Tax Credit Program Statistics link on the Tax Commission’s Reports and Statistics webpage.

Parents with questions can email the Tax Commission at [email protected]. They can also call (208) 334-7660 in the Boise area or toll free at (800) 972-7660. You must call if you have a question about your TAP account.
