BOISE, Idaho – U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho) today, on the 136th anniversary of Idaho statehood, announced the launch of the Idaho Service Spotlight, a new biweekly recognition of individuals whose exceptional courage, leadership, and sacrifice make a lasting difference in their communities.

“Idaho is the greatest state in the nation because of the outstanding people who call it home,” said Risch. “Whether they are a veteran, first responder, community leader, or volunteer, these Idahoans embody the values that have defined our state for 136 years. I am proud to launch the Idaho Service Spotlight and recognize the individuals and organizations who keep the Gem State a special place to live and raise a family.”

Honorees will be recognized for their contributions to the Gem State in the Congressional Record of the U.S. Senate and highlighted on Senator Risch’s social media accounts. Follow @SenatorRisch on X/Twitter and Instagram and @SenatorJimRisch on Facebook.
