Boise, ID — May 27, 2025 — Former State Representative Greg Ferch has announced his candidacy for Idaho House Seat A in District 22. Ferch previously served in the Legislature after being elected in 2020 and is seeking reelection in the May 2026 Republican primary.
“I’ve been part of the Legislature before,” Ferch said. “District 22 has had strong voices in the Statehouse, and I respect the work that’s been done. I’m running to contribute to that—with steady leadership and a practical approach.”
Ferch, a U.S. Army veteran and longtime Boise small business owner, brings over 30 years of community service to the race. He currently chairs the Central District Health Board and serves as Chairman of District 22 Republicans.
With more than three decades of healthcare experience as a practicing chiropractor, Ferch says one of his priorities is helping Idaho take a more practical, person-centered approach to public health.
“I’ve always believed health starts with the individual,” he said. “Idaho should lead the way in promoting informed consent, practical education, and policies that empower individuals to take charge of their health and well-being.”
The Seat A position in District 22 is expected to become open in 2026. Ferch noted that District 22 has benefited from stable legislative service and said his campaign is focused on continuing that work in a way that reflects his convictions while respecting the constituent-based nature of representation.
“This has been my home for over 30 years. It’s where I’ve lived, served in the Legislature, and stayed involved because I care about the people here. I’m running again because I believe I can make a difference, and I want to give voters someone they know and trust.”
Ferch said his campaign will focus on fiscal discipline, quality education, and healthcare policy that supports patients and practitioners while protecting the freedoms that keep Idaho strong.
