FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Boise, Idaho – January 23, 2025 – The Syringa Speaker Series is a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to hosting prominent speakers in Idaho’s capital city, focusing on issues that matter most to Idahoans. The organization’s inaugural event in Boise will feature acclaimed journalist, author, and political analyst, Mollie Hemingway, on April 26, 2025. This event will mark the beginning of an exciting new initiative to promote meaningful conversations, spark ideas and inspire action.
Hemingway is the Editor-in-Chief of The Federalist, a Senior Journalism Fellow at Hillsdale College, and a Fox News Contributor. She is the co-author of the national bestseller “Justice on Trial: The Kavanaugh Confirmation and the Future of the Supreme Court” and author of the bestseller “Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections.” Hemingway is a 2021 recipient of The Bradley Prize.
“We are thrilled to have Mollie Hemingway as our first speaker for the Syringa Speaker Series,” said chair of the organization, Lynn Bradescu. “Mollie is known for her sharp analysis and deep understanding of the political landscape, and we look forward to the thought-provoking conversation that will unfold on April 26th.”
In addition to hosting leading voices at each event, the Syringa Speaker Series Leadership Award will celebrate local leaders and nonprofits making a real difference in Idaho. The April 26 program will shine a spotlight on Boise Rescue Mission, a nonprofit organization committed to meeting the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs of homeless and addicted individuals in the Boise and Nampa areas.
“The Boise Rescue Mission plays a critical role in addressing the needs of men, women, and children in our community, transforming lives with their work. They do it all without accepting any government support, relying entirely on the generosity of their donors,” said Bradescu. “We look forward to raising awareness about their mission, and hopefully we will inspire more Idahoans to get involved in supporting their work.”
The Syringa Speaker Series also offers the opportunity to sponsor youth attendance at the event. Idaho’s youth are the hope for our future, and their attendance will enable them to hear meaningful conversations that will empower them to be productive citizens who know how to use their voice to impact change.
The inaugural event featuring Mollie Hemingway will be held at the Boise Centre in Boise, Idaho on the evening of Saturday, April 26, 2025. Tickets are on sale now at www.syringaspeakerseries.org, and options include both table sponsorships and individual tickets. Attendees are encouraged to secure their spot early.
