The Idaho State Board of Education is established in the Idaho Constitution and is responsible for the general supervision, governance, and control of the state’s public education system. This includes oversight of public K-12 education, community colleges, and public colleges and universities. The Board sets policy, allocates resources, and works to ensure a coordinated and effective education system that meets the needs of students, institutions, and the state.
