Josh Whitman

Created by the Legislature in 1967, the Idaho Beef Council promotes and researches markets for Idaho's beef industry, funded by a $1.50-per-head checkoff assessment collected on cattle sales statewide. Its eight-member board—cow/calf producers, cattle feeders, dairy producers, and an auction market representative—is nominated by industry organizations and appointed by the Governor to three-year terms.
