Dear Friend,

I’ve been grateful to travel all across the district throughout October. I’ve met countless Idahoans, groups, and businesses that help our great state thrive. I’m so grateful to represent you all in Congress. It is an absolute honor. I will continue fighting for you and our state’s needs.

I recently visited the Treasure Valley Law Enforcement Childcare Center. For safety precautions, information is limited, but I proudly secured funding for this center a few years ago through community project funding. It was my great honor to bring back federal funding to support our law enforcement and their families.

Next week is Veterans Day. God bless our law enforcement, first responders, and veterans. Idaho is blessed with some of the best in the nation. I had the opportunity to sit down with Idaho veterans and discuss the Wounded Warrior Project’s impact in our state.

Visiting the Treasure Valley Law Enforcement Childcare Center

As Idaho’s only appropriator, I have a unique opportunity to bring back federal funding for projects that benefit our communities, rather than that money going to states like California or New York.

For example, many Idaho law enforcement families struggle to find accessible and affordable childcare during their shifts, leaving many officers unable to continue serving. Constructing a childcare center for Idaho’s finest shows how community project funding can positively impact our local communities. I am honored to be a part of a solution that stands firmly with our law enforcement.

For safety and privacy concerns, photos and information are limited from my recent visit to the center.

Wounded Warrior Project’s Impact in Idaho

Veterans Day is right around the corner. I greatly appreciate these veterans taking the time to meet with me. Our country owes those who served a debt of gratitude. We will never fully be able to repay them for their sacrifice.

One of my top priorities in Congress is fighting for our military and veterans. I am grateful I got to sit down with this incredible group and learn how the Wounded Warrior Project is helping veterans across Idaho.

Fully Funding Veterans’ Healthcare and Benefits

Speaking of our great veterans, I wanted to highlight the House passing legislation to fully fund veterans’ health care programs and benefits.

One of my top priorities in Congress is supporting our troops and veterans. By fully funding veterans’ health care programs and benefits, investing in mental health services, prioritizing funding for military family housing, and so much more, this legislation fulfills our promises to those who have sacrificed so greatly for our country.
