Dear Friend,

AMERICA IS 250 YEARS OLD! I hope you all had a safe and fun Fourth of July and celebrated our nation’s independence! In honor of America 250, I recently cosponsored the Great American Outdoors Act 250, legislation to reauthorize the original Great American Outdoors Act, critical legislation that invests in our public lands. Click here to see how I was gearing up to celebrate America’s birthday.

I’d also like to applaud the United States Supreme Court’s decision to protect female athletes and uphold Title IX. As many of you know, in January the Supreme Court heard oral arguments from Idaho and West Virginia, which asked the Court to allow enforcement of state laws protecting women’s sports.

Lastly, this week marked the one-year anniversary of the WORKING FAMILIES TAX CUTS! I’ve said this several times before, but it is worth repeating: this legislation was arguably one of the most consequential votes I’ve cast in Congress.

Great American Outdoors Act 250

The Great American Outdoors Act, legislation I originally authored, was signed into law by President Trump on August 4, 2020, marking the biggest change to American public lands in decades.

Idahoans and Americans nationwide rallied behind the bipartisan GAOA before, and now, more than ever, it is crucial that we reauthorize this bill. I am confident we will get the Great American Outdoors Act 250 across the finish line!

Historic Ruling for Female Athletes

The Supreme Court’s decision in State of Little v. Hecox and West Virginia v. B.P.J. has confirmed what we have known all along: men have no place in women’s sports.

Idahoans owe a debt of gratitude to Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador and Idaho State Representative Barb Ehardt for leading the charge to protect women’s sports and fight for common sense. More than anything, today’s ruling is an incredible step toward preserving and protecting Title IX for future generations.

Delivering for American Families

Republicans voted for tax relief, and it’s worth noting that all my colleagues from across the aisle voted against these tax cuts.

The One Big Beautiful Bill, or the Working Families Tax Cuts, put more money in Idahoans’ pockets, established the visionary Trump Accounts, and delivered no tax on tips, overtime, and Social Security.
