Dear Friend,

It was a busy and productive week in Idaho’s Second District! I met with groups and constituents across the state, ranging from those who craft some of the world’s best dairy products, those who ensure our drinking water is safe, and many more.

When a person thinks of Idaho agriculture, the first thing that may come to mind is potatoes. Or maybe it’s sugar beets, barley, or one of the other 180-plus commodities. What many people don’t realize is that dairy is Idaho’s top agricultural product. It was great meeting with the Idaho Dairymen in Burley and then with Idaho Milk Products in Jerome earlier this week.

Over in Boise, I attended the Idaho Rural Water Association’s groundbreaking for its training facility, which I proudly helped secure federal funding for a few years ago. Many thanks to all the groups I met with this week. I always enjoy my time with Idahoans while in the district.

Advocating for Idaho Dairy

Dairy products are Idaho’s largest agricultural export, and I have remained committed to supporting this critical industry in Congress.

I had a great meeting with Idaho Milk Products and was happy to share my cosponsorship of the DAIRY PRIDE Act—because in Idaho, we know milk comes from a cow!

Idaho Rural Water Association’s Groundbreaking

I appreciated the opportunity to attend the Idaho Rural Water Association’s groundbreaking for its training facility, which I helped secure federal funding for.

The IRWA does critical work across our state to ensure safe drinking water. Thank you for all you do, and I’m excited to see how this expansion will support operations!

Supporting Idaho’s Construction Industry

Idaho is one of the fastest-growing states in the nation, which means the construction industry has to keep up with the high demand.

I had a great meeting with the Idaho Associated General Contractors and learned about their industry priorities across our state. They’ve played a critical role in Idaho’s infrastructure and water projects, and even with the rewrite of the out-of-touch Obama-era “WOTUS” rules. Thank you for all you do!
