Attorney General Labrador’s ICAC Unit Secures Prison Sentences for Seven Individuals for Crimes Against Children

BOISE, ID — Attorney General Raúl Labrador has announced that seven individuals were sentenced to prison after being convicted of crimes against children. Joseph Bingham (25), Cristian Escalera-Maldonado (32), Trustin McMurphy (24), Matthew Dudley (39), Francisco Zamora (62), Terry Lee Doughty (68), and Donovan Dillon (23) were sentenced as part of the enforcement efforts by the Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit. 

“I’m proud of our ICAC prosecutors and investigators, as well as our local law enforcement partners who worked tirelessly to bring these individuals to justice and deliver sentences that protect Idaho families from this evil,” said Attorney General Labrador. “Their hard work and dedication is resulting in the arrest and sentencing of dangerous criminals from our communities and ensuring children across our state are safer.”

Joseph Bingham (Ada County)

Bingham was sentenced on December 4, 2025, by Ada County District Judge Lynn Norton on one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Child by Distribution of Sexually Exploitative Material (Child Pornography). In April of 2025, law enforcement executed a warrant on Bingham’s house based on two CyberTips indicating he had been sharing child sexual abuse material with other users online. Bingham admitted to knowingly seeking out images of children being abused in chat rooms. Judge Norton sentenced Bingham to a total unified sentence of twenty years in prison with two and a half years fixed and seventeen and a half years indeterminate.

Cristian Escalera-Maldonado (Bonneville County)

Maldonado was sentenced on December 1, 2025, by Bonneville County District Judge Dane H. Watkins on two counts of Sexual Battery of a Minor Child Sixteen or Seventeen Years of Age and one count of Lewd and Lascivious Conduct with a Minor Child Under Sixteen. In December of 2024, a child reported to the Idaho Falls Police Department that Maldonado had abused them and two other children. The investigation revealed that Maldonado had provided alcohol, marijuana, and vapes to three minor children and sexually abused them. He recorded a portion of his abuse on his phone. Judge Watkins sentenced Maldonado to a total sentence of twelve years with ten years fixed and two years indeterminate.

Trustin McMurphy (Bonneville County)

McMurphy was sentenced on January 12, 2026, by Bonneville County District Judge Dane H. Watkins on two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child by Possession of Sexually Exploitative Material (Child Pornography). In January 2024, law enforcement received a CyberTip indicating that an account belonging to McMurphy contained suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM). After obtaining search warrants, officers searched McMurphy’s home and digital devices, locating multiple files of CSAM. Many of these files depicted minor females ranging from approximately two to fourteen years old, and some of these files depicted children engaged in sexual acts with adult men. Judge Watkins sentenced McMurphy to a total of fifteen years in prison, with two years fixed and thirteen years indeterminate.

Matthew Dudley (Bonneville County)

Dudley was sentenced on January 20, 2026, by Bonneville County District Judge Jason Walker on three counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child by Possession of Sexually Exploitative Material (Child Pornography). In August 2025, law enforcement received a CyberTip from Microsoft Bing Images indicating that a file containing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) was uploaded to Bing Images in an attempt to search for similar images. After obtaining search warrants, officers searched Dudley’s home and digital devices, locating approximately 2,000 files of CSAM. Many of these files depicted minor females ranging from approximately one to sixteen years old, and some of these files contained children being sexually abused. Judge Walker sentenced Dudley to a total of thirty years in prison, with six years fixed and twenty-four years indeterminate.

Francisco Zamora (Canyon County)

Zamora was sentenced on January 21, 2026, by Canyon County District Judge Thomas Whitney on four counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child by Possession of Sexually Exploitative Material (Child Pornography). In July 2025, law enforcement received a CyberTip that a file containing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) was uploaded by an IP address belonging to Zamora. After obtaining search warrants, officers searched Zamora’s home and digital devices. Zamora admitted to having hundreds of files of CSAM. The files found depicted minor females ranging from approximately one to twelve years old in various sexual positions and acts. Judge Whitney sentenced Zamora to a total of forty-five years in prison, with fifteen years fixed and thirty years indeterminate. Zamora’s sentence was subject to a sentencing enhancement because he was previously convicted of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in 1990.

Terry Lee Doughty (Canyon County)

Doughty was sentenced on January 20, 2026, by Canyon County District Judge Randall Grove on two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child by Possession of Sexually Exploitative Material (Child Pornography). In December 2024, law enforcement received a CyberTip from Microsoft Bing Images indicating that a file containing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) was uploaded to Bing Images in an attempt to search for similar images. After obtaining search warrants, officers searched Doughty’s home and digital devices, locating multiple files of CSAM. Many of these files depicted minor females ranging from approximately three to fifteen years old, being sexually abused by adults. Judge Grove sentenced Doughty to a total of ten years in prison, with two years fixed and eight years indeterminate.

Donovan Dillon (Canyon County)

Dillon was sentenced on January 22, 2026, by Canyon County District Judge Thomas Whitney on three counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child by Possession of Sexually Exploitative Material (Child Pornography). In May 2025, law enforcement received a CyberTip that an account belonging to Dillon contained child sexual abuse material (CSAM). After obtaining search warrants, officers searched Dillon’s home and digital devices, locating multiple files of CSAM on his phone. Dillon also admitted ownership of the account reported in the CyberTip. The files depicted minor children ranging from approximately two to sixteen years old in various sexual positions and acts. Judge Whitney sentenced Dillon to a total of ten years in prison, with three years fixed and seven years indeterminate.
