Idaho Republican Party
Legislative District 35

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 12, 2025

Precinct Committee Officers from Legislative District 35 will hold a public meeting on September 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Inkom City Hall, 365 North Rapid Creek Road, Inkom, Idaho, to nominate three qualified individuals to fill the vacancy in the Idaho House of Representatives, District 35 Seat A.

Representative Kevin Andrus has accepted a presidential appointment as State Executive Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) for Idaho. He has announced his intent to step down from the Legislature to assume this new federal role, creating a vacancy in his legislative seat. Kevin’s resignation is effective September 12, 2025.

In accordance with Idaho state law, when a legislative vacancy occurs, the Republican precinct committeemen from that district are tasked with nominating three qualified candidates. These names are then forwarded to the Governor, who will appoint one of them to serve the remainder of the legislative term.

All interested and qualified Republican residents of Legislative District 35 are invited to attend.
