RELEASE: Attorney General Labrador’s ICAC Unit Arrests 3 Men for Alleged Sexual Exploitation of a Child in East Idaho

BOISE — Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced his Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit investigators arrested three men in East Idaho this week for alleged sexual exploitation of children and assisted the Meridian Police Department with a fourth arrest. 

During the week of August 18-22, ICAC investigators arrested Rusty Harris, 55, on ten counts of possession of child exploitive material; Matthew Dudley, 38, on ten counts of possession of child sexual abuse material; and Nathan Selig, 43, on six counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.

“The professional dedication and investigative excellence our ICAC team showed this week proves we’ve built Idaho’s strongest defense against those who target children in our state,” said Attorney General Labrador. “I’m grateful to every officer and agent who assisted in these arrests, your partnership makes Idaho families safer, working together to protect our the most vulnerable from exploitation.”

The Attorney General’s ICAC Unit works with the Idaho ICAC Task Force, a coalition of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the internet to criminally exploit children. The Pocatello Police Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho Falls Police Department, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations all assisted in these three arrests, while the ICAC Unit also assisted the Meridian Police Department with an additional arrest this week.

The charges listed above are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
