BOISE — Attorney General Raúl Labrador will chair the Idaho Medal of Honor Commission ceremony honoring four law enforcement officers for extraordinary acts of courage and heroism that saved lives while risking their own. The Commission will present Idaho’s highest honor for public safety professionals.
WHO: Idaho Medal of Honor Commission, Attorney General Raúl Labrador (Commission Chair), and award recipients Officer Brian Quiterio (Kimberly-Hansen Police), Sergeant Taylor Beach (Coeur d’Alene Police), Sergeant Leon Dennis (Garden City Police), and Corporal Sikko Barghoorn (Garden City Police)
WHAT: Idaho Medal of Honor Commission ceremony presenting the state’s highest honor to officers who demonstrated exceptional valor above and beyond the call of duty
WHEN: Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM MT
WHERE: Lincoln Auditorium, Idaho State Capitol, Boise
The ceremony will include honor guard presentation by Idaho State Police Honor Guard and Caldwell Police Pipes and Drums, individual Medal of Honor presentations with citations detailing each officer’s heroic actions, and remarks from Commission Chair Labrador recognizing their service.
