STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
The purpose of this legislation is to prevent the State of Idaho, it’s political subdivisions, or any state officers from mandating the use of face masks, face shields, or other face coverings as a means to prevent or slow the spread of a contagious or infectious disease.

LATEST NEWS:
1/21/25: Rep. Beiswenger introduced this bill in House State Affairs this morning. It is a near-copy of last year’s bill that passed the House but did not receive a hearing in the Senate. The committee voted to print the bill, with Rep. Todd Achilles requesting testimony from “public health experts”.
