HOUSE ENVIRONMENT, ENERGY, & TECHNOLOGY
The House Environment, Energy, & Technology Committee addresses legislation related to Idaho’s environmental protection, energy policies, and technology infrastructure. Its responsibilities include cybersecurity issues, hazardous waste management, sewage and water treatment, and recycling programs. The committee also oversees the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), which enforces environmental regulations and works to maintain Idaho’s natural resources and public health.
