HOUSE AGRICULTURAL AFFAIRS
The House Agricultural Affairs Committee oversees legislation and policy related to Idaho’s key agricultural sectors and agencies. Its jurisdiction includes the Idaho Department of Agriculture, which regulates and promotes the state’s farming interests; the Idaho Potato Commission, which supports the world-famous Idaho potato industry; the Wheat Commission and Barley Commission, which represent grain growers and work to expand markets; and the Beef Council, which advocates for Idaho’s cattle producers.
