Brandon D. Woolf has served as Idaho’s State Controller since 2012, when he was appointed to complete his predecessor’s term and later elected in 2014, 2018, and 2022. A Preston native, he holds a political science degree from Utah State University and an MBA from Boise State. As State Controller, he oversees statewide accounting, payroll, and data center operations. He also serves on several boards, including the Land Board and Board of Examiners. His tenure has focused on transparency, IT consolidation, and modernizing state financial systems.
