Dear Friend,

It was a productive week in Idaho’s Second District! I spent time in Idaho Falls, Jerome, Twin Falls, Salmon, Pocatello, and Blackfoot. I appreciate so many Idahoans taking the time to meet and for the conversations.

Much more to come on this week’s meetings, but I’d like to highlight my time at the Minidoka National Historic Site and the positive impact of the Great American Outdoors Act. I also toured the Steele Memorial Medical Center, where I recently advanced $2 million in funding for its rehabilitation facility.

Interested in an internship? My DC and Idaho offices have plenty of opportunities! In fact, we are now looking for spring 2027 interns. If you are interested, or know someone who may be, please click HERE for more information.

Protecting Our Public Lands

In Idaho, we are blessed with amazing public lands, and the Great American Outdoors Act has ensured that future generations will be able to enjoy them as we have.

I was honored to join Idahoans at the Minidoka National Historic Site to celebrate the significant impact of this bill and the Legacy Restoration Fund, which addresses high-priority maintenance needs across the National Park System, including right here at Minidoka.

Advancing Funding for Steele Memorial Rehabilitation Facility

Earlier this week, I toured the Steele Memorial Medical Center in Salmon. I recently advanced $2 million in funding for the Rehabilitation Facility Modernization for Rural Access and Safety Project. Investing in Steele Memorial Medical Center’s proposed facility will enhance patient care and keep rehabilitation services local. This project is critical for Salmon and the surrounding communities, and I am proud to support it.

You can read more about this project and community support HERE.
