BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho State Board of Education today announced the members of the search committee that will lead the effort to select University of Idaho’s next president. President C. Scott Green announced on Sept. 9 that he will retire June 30, 2027.
State Board members Shawn Keough and Pete Koehler will lead the committee.
“We are grateful to these Vandals and community leaders for agreeing to serve,” said State Board President Kurt Liebich. “President Green has put the university in a strong position, and we are committed to a thorough search that finds a leader who can build on that momentum.”
Idaho law requires that every presidential search committee at a state institution include, at a minimum, two State Board members; two university employees, at least one of whom is a faculty member; two alumni; one member of the institution’s foundation; and one at-large community member.
The presidential search committee members are:
- Shawn Keough – State Board member, search committee chair
- Pete Koehler – State Board member, search committee vice chair
- Chandra Zenner Ford – Senior Associate to the President, Center Executive Officer, Boise and Southwest Idaho, University of Idaho
- Mya Pronschinske Groza – Professor of Marketing and Associate Dean, College of Business and Economics, University of Idaho
- Bill Gilbert – Alumnus, Class of 1997
- Phil Reberger – Alumnus, Class of 1964
- Clint Marshall – Chair, University of Idaho Foundation
- Mary Hasenoehrl – Owner, GKH Farms and Partner, Gross Farms
