RELEASE: Cindy Agidius Announces Candidacy for Idaho House, District 6 Seat A

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

[Moscow, Idaho] — Republican Cindy Agidius today announced her candidacy for Idaho State Representative in District 6, Seat A. She is seeking the Republican nomination in the May 2026 primary election.

“Idaho is at an important crossroads,” said Agidius. “The values that built North Idaho — limited government, personal responsibility, strong families, and respect for our agricultural heritage — must be defended and strengthened.”

Agidius emphasized the importance of keeping District 6 firmly in Republican hands and electing experienced leadership ready to deliver results from day one.

“With growing political pressure on this district, now is not the time for on-the-job training.,” Agidius said. “We have serious issues to address in Idaho — from rising costs and affordability challenges to protecting our rural communities. My experience allows me to get straight to work. I know how to roll my sleeves up, balance a budget, and deliver results.”

Drawing on her prior service, Agidius served in the Idaho House of Representatives from 2012 to 2014. She said that experience gave her a strong understanding of how state policy affects North Idaho’s agricultural and timber producers, small businesses, and rural communities. Previously, Agidius managed regional offices in Moscow for US Senator Mike Crapo and US Senator Dirk Kempthorne.

“Our farmers, ranchers and timber producers are facing real challenges — from regulatory pressures to rising input costs,” Agidius said. “District 6 deserves a representative who understands those issues and will fight to protect Idaho agriculture, timber and rural livelihoods.”

Her campaign will focus on balancing the state budget, protecting taxpayers, supporting law enforcement, strengthening the education system, defending constitutional freedoms, and advocating for Idaho’s Ag and Timber communities.

The Republican Primary Election will be held in May 2026. Agidius said she is committed to earning the trust of District 6 voters and ensuring the district is represented by a strong conservative voice in the Idaho House.

Agidius and her family reside in North Idaho and look forward to connecting with voters throughout the district in the coming months.
