RELEASE: Attorney General Labrador Announces Arrest of Clark County Man for Alleged Exploitation of a Child

BOISE, ID — Attorney General Raúl Labrador has announced that investigators with his Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit arrested 31-year-old Austin Mickelsen on Wednesday February 25th, 2026, on 5 counts of possession of child sexual exploitation material and 5 counts of distribution of child sexual exploitation material.

The ICAC Unit was assisted in this arrest by Idaho State Police, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho Falls Police Department, Pocatello Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations.

“Every arrest we make is a step toward protecting Idaho children from exploitation,” said Attorney General Labrador. “I’m grateful for the hard work of our ICAC investigators and the partnerships we’ve built with law enforcement agencies across the state to protect children.”

The Attorney General’s ICAC Unit works with the Idaho ICAC Task Force, a coalition of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the internet to criminally exploit children.

The charges listed above are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
