By Sen. Jim Risch
Idaho is better off with President Trump in the White House.
Over the past year, I’ve worked with the President to implement commonsense policies that put Idahoans first.
That started exactly one year ago today when President Trump signed the executive order I wrote to stop the disastrous Lava Ridge Wind Energy Project.
Not long after that, I secured Presidential approval for a new State Veterans Home in Boise, which had been stalled under the Biden administration by bureaucratic red tape. After two years of needless delays, the project finally broke ground last October.
In President Trump’s first year, we didn’t just ensure our veterans were taken care of; we also protected the next generation of military leaders by preserving the ROTC programs at the University of Idaho and Idaho State University.
On top of these tremendous wins, we secured the largest tax cut for working families in U.S. history, brought border crossings to a 25-year low, and protected women’s sports.
In the year to come, we’ll keep up this important work and deliver even more victories that strengthen Idaho families, lands, and economy.
