Champion of Individual Rights, Fiscal Responsibility and Idaho family values, Former Rep. Julianne Young, announces her bid for District 30 Seat B and Provides an Update on Idaho Family Strong, a Non-profit Dedicated to Fighting for Idaho Families.
Bingham County, ID – Former State Representative Julianne Young has formally declared her candidacy for Legislative District 30 Seat B and pledges her continued commitment to the people of Idaho the principles that have made her one of the most effective leaders in the Legislature: faith, family and the Constitution.
A sixth-generation Idahoan, Julianne’s life story is one of hard work, educational pursuit, and a commitment to the values instilled by her parents. From the rural countryside of Moreland to the halls of Idaho State University and beyond, her journey has been driven by a dedication to truth, compassion, and community service.
In the legislature, Representative Young is recognized for her principled and conservative leadership, advocating for policies that uphold fundamental rights and adhere to the inspired tenets of the United States Constitution. Her leadership had been instrumental in bringing unity and consensus around tough issues and steering Idaho towards sound policies that safeguard societal safety, happiness, and prosperity. She is personally responsible for the 2020 birth certificate legislation defining male and female which will now go into effect after a recent court ruling, but her substantial legislative victories include topics ranging from the establishment of Idaho’s post-election audit of paper ballots (protecting election integrity), to keeping schools and businesses open during COVID, to building statewide consensus and support for water policy that safeguards our agricultural economy.
Representative Young emphasized, “In these challenging economic times, with inflation reaching into every pocketbook, our commitment to fiscal prudence has never been more vital.” She added, “During my service, Idaho made substantial strides toward addressing these pressing issues facing our community. Focused effort, relentlessly pursuing policies that alleviate the financial burden on our citizens through efficiency, low taxes and less regulations, is needed now more than ever before to ensure that Idaho remains a wonderful place for Idahoans to live, work, and nurture families for generations to come.”
Representative Young added, “At the heart of our community is the family unit, a cornerstone that is increasingly under attack in today’s society. As your representative, my resolve is unshaken to safeguard the integrity of the family. I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that our legislative environment nurtures, rather than undermines, this fundamental unit. Our policies must safeguard and strengthen the stability of family structures, upholding the values that make Idaho not just temporarily prosperous, but strong and resilient for generations to come.”
Julianne Young’s proven record in the Idaho Legislature reflects her broader commitment to the well-being of Idaho families. This is exemplified by her founding of ‘Idaho Family Strong.’ This non-profit organization empowers Idahoans to effectively advocate for the family, providing them with customized tools and real-time information they need to engage in the legislative process from wherever they are.
As Julianne Young announces her bid for reelection, the leadership of Idaho Family Strong has transferred to board member and former legislative colleague, Gayann DeMordaunt. Gayann and her husband Reed, also a former legislator, recently led the highly successful “Giving Machine” campaign for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints throughout the state of Idaho.
Former Representative Julianne Young concludes, “I am confident in Gayann’s dynamic leadership and her commitment to strengthening and defending the family in Idaho. Between my continued service on the board of Idaho Family Strong and my bid for re-election, I am energized and excited to continue in the service of my friends and neighbors all across this beautiful state of Idaho.”
