FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – December 16, 2025
BOISE – Secure Idaho today launched IdahoImmigrationWatch.org, a first-of-its-kind, real-time transparency platform designed to track every immigration-related bill and grade all 105 Idaho legislators throughout the 2026 legislative session.
The site provides Idahoans with unprecedented visibility into how immigration policy is shaped, including actions that often occur out of public view, while exposing the role of special-interest money in blocking enforcement and transparency reforms.
The new site features:
- Real-Time Legislator Scorecard: Updates throughout the session – not months later – tracking committee votes, bill sponsorships, refusals to cosponsor, procedural delays, and bills quietly stalled or killed in committee.
- Facts & Figures Dashboard: Documented, sourced data on the impacts of illegal and open immigration in Idaho, including enforcement activity, public resource strain, agricultural labor reliance, and refugee resettlement costs (currently paused nationwide by executive order).
- Visual Bill Tracker: A plain-language tool following each bill from RS number through committees, floor votes, and final disposition.
- “Follow the Money” Tracker: Campaign donation data highlighting lawmakers who accept no special-interest funding alongside those receiving significant contributions from Big Ag and IACI-linked interests.
- Statewide Task Force Network: County-by-county sign-ups to recruit one lead activist in each of Idaho’s 44 counties.
Michael Angiletta, founder of Secure Idaho and coordinator of the Secure Idaho Immigration Task Force, issued the following statement:
Idahoans are fed up. State and national polling confirms what we hear across the state: roughly 80% of voters believe unchecked immigration threatens jobs, schools, housing, and public safety. Yet year after year, strong enforcement and transparency bills die quietly in committee while special interests pour money into campaign coffers.
IdahoImmigrationWatch.org changes that. Beginning January 12, every legislative move, including stalled bills and committee roadblocks most voters never see, will be tracked, scored, and published in real time.
We’re also building a statewide grassroots network, one county at a time, to turn transparency into accountability. With refugee resettlement currently paused, 2026 is Idaho’s clearest opportunity in years to put workers and taxpayers first.
Every legislator should understand this: when you side with special interests over Idaho voters, the public will know. Immediately.
The site is live now at https://www.idahoimmigrationwatch.org, featuring a statewide petition and applications to lead county-level task force efforts.
Secure Idaho encourages all concerned Idahoans to explore the data, sign the petition, and join the task force ahead of the 2026 legislative session.
