FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Middleton, Idaho: Senator Tammy Nichols has filed to seek another term in the Idaho State Senate, representing District 10.
Born and raised in Idaho, Nichols grew up in Boise and has proudly called Middleton home since 2002. She is a mother of five and a small business owner, experiences that have shaped her perspective and informed her work in the Legislature.
Nichols currently serves as Chair of the Senate Agriculture Affairs Committee and co-chairs the Idaho Freedom Caucus. Throughout her time in office, she has focused on issues she regularly hears about from families, farmers, and small business owners across her district. Much of the legislation she sponsors begins with conversations at community events, town halls, and one-on-one meetings with constituents.
In the Senate, Nichols has supported income tax reductions, property tax relief efforts, and expanded tax credits for families. As Agriculture Committee Chair, she has worked to promote food security, help producers, and strengthen transparency in agricultural and food labeling policy.
She has sponsored and co-sponsored legislation addressing parental rights in education, medical freedom protections, consumer safeguards, and government accountability. A strong supporter of the Second Amendment, Nichols has backed legislation protecting constitutional rights and introduced measures focused on accountability and protections for Idaho’s first responders.
“Most of the work I do begins with conversations at kitchen tables and in our communities,” said Nichols. “I will continue to bring those voices with me to the Capitol.”
Outside the Legislature, Nichols operates a property management and remodeling business. She remains committed to staying accessible and engaged with the people she represents.
