WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Congressman Russ Fulcher (Idaho-01) announced the 2026 candidates nominated to four United States Service Academies. The U.S. Military Academy (USMA), the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) all require a congressional nomination in order to qualify for an appointment to attend.
The U.S. Service Academies have a proud legacy of developing leaders who are committed to serving with honor and excellence. This year’s nominees exemplify the character, discipline, and selflessness that define the next generation of officers in the United States Armed Forces.
“It is a privilege to nominate these outstanding Idahoans to our U.S. Service Academies,” Congressman Fulcher said. “These students have demonstrated perseverance, responsibility, and a strong commitment to serving our nation. I congratulate them on this well-earned achievement and know they will make Idaho proud as future leaders in America’s armed forces.”
