In a letter posted to Facebook this morning, Rep. Lance Clow (R–Twin Falls) announced his resignation, effective November 30. Clow wrote that he had already decided not to seek reelection in 2026 but chose to step down before the upcoming session due to health concerns and a desire to focus on personal goals and family commitments.
Rep. Clow was first elected to the Legislature in 2012 after serving as a Twin Falls city council member and mayor. He currently chairs the House Business Committee.
The District 25 Republican Central Committee, chaired by Grant Loebs, will nominate three candidates to submit to Gov. Brad Little for appointment to the vacant seat. Twin Falls County Commissioner Don Hall had already filed a treasurer appointment in anticipation of Clow’s planned retirement.
