Senate Democrats’ stalling tactics have made President Trump the first in history with zero civilian nominees confirmed by voice vote or unanimous consent.
These antics cannot go on. Senate Democrats are wasting time when we should be passing legislation that supports American priorities.
This week, Republicans began taking the steps to end the blockade.
We are fixing the obstructionism preventing us from confirming President Trump’s team.
Idahoans want leadership that puts America first. I’m working with Senate Republicans to make that happen.
As Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, I’ve advanced 54 of President Trump’s key nominees. Even when Democratic members walked out to disrupt our work, I did not waver.
Out of the 139 nominees approved by the full Senate, I’ve pushed more than a fourth through one of my committees.
I’m proud to set the pace and work with Senate Republicans to confirm President Trump’s nominees.
We will clear the backlog, deliver on our promises, and achieve the America First agenda.
