Nuclear energy is America’s creation and the key to leaving future generations with a safe, secure, and more prosperous future.
Last week, I published an editorial in the Washington Times highlighting the growing demand for domestic electricity, and how nuclear energy stands alone as the sole feasible solution.
The United States is at a critical juncture. Our nuclear energy sector will flourish and provide significant economic and security benefits but we must put it on the right footing.
To do this, we must preserve our existing nuclear reactor fleet and enhance our ability to develop, deploy, and commercialize advanced technologies. This will fortify domestic energy supplies, stimulate manufacturing, and strengthen national security.
Fortunately, Idaho’s very own Idaho National Lab is at the cutting edge of nuclear research and breakthroughs in these advanced technologies.
Nuclear energy is the answer for a virtually limitless clean energy.
As a nation, we cannot afford to miss this opportunity. The time to act is now.
