STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
This legislation prohibits the illegal entry into or illegal presence in this state by a person who is an alien, the enforcement of those prohibitions and certain related orders, including immunity from liability and indemnification for enforcement actions, and authorizing or requiring under certain circumstances the removal of persons who violate those prohibitions; creating criminal offenses.

1/30/25: Rep. Crane reintroduced this bill with a new RS on Thursday. It has a new bill number and awaits a hearing.
1/14/25: Rep. Crane introduced this bill in House State Affairs this morning. It is similar to his bill from 2024 which passed the House but was not taken up by the Senate. Rep. Todd Achilles signaled that he has serious problems with the bill that he will bring up in the full hearing.
