S1362 passed the Senate earlier this month but has not yet had a hearing in House Education.
Monday, 2/26/24:
Last Wednesday, Sen. Trakel presented S1362 in Senate Education. He asked that it be sent to the Senate amending order to correct an issue that came up regarding school mascot flags, Native American Indian tribe flags, and other things that should be permitted. The committee obliged, and it awaits the 14th order on the Senate floor.
Tuesday, 2/13/24:
Sen. Chris Trakel has sponsored a bill to ban non-American flags from public school property. The Senate Education Committee voted to introduce the bill as part of a bundle, and it was printed as S1362.
