Below is a summary of each organization’s legislative scorecard, with links and methodology:
A Boise-based free-market think tank founded in 2009. Rates 300–400 bills per session based on limited government, individual liberty, and property rights. Widely seen as Idaho’s most consistent conservative scorecard.
Idaho Freedom IndexIACI calls itself “Idaho’s most effective business lobby.” Rates 10-20 bills per year based on priorities set by IACI’s corporate members. Generally aligned with economic development, regulatory moderation, and incumbency support.
IACI ScorecardPowered by a comprehensive dataset, the ILA presents an independent analysis measuring state lawmaker voting alignment to the Republican party platform of Idaho.
2025 ILA Idaho GOP Platform ScoresEvaluates votes based on adherence to constitutionalism, sovereignty, and anti-globalist principles.
JBS Freedom IndexA national free-market advocacy group that scores federal legislators on tax, spending, and regulatory votes. Emphasizes limited government, low taxes, and economic liberty.
2024 CFG Idaho Legislative ScorecardProject of the American Conservative Union. Produces state-specific conservative indexes. Includes cultural, economic, and civil liberty metrics in their annual ratings.
