Dairy Products Commission

Self-Governing Agency

Created in 1969, the Idaho Dairy Products Commission promotes and researches markets for Idaho's dairy industry—the state's largest agricultural sector—funded by an assessment on milk production rather than tax dollars. The Commission operates jointly with its counterparts in Oregon, Utah, and Washington under the regional Dairy West brand, and its nine-member board is appointed by the Governor to represent dairy producers statewide.
