RURAL HEALTH TRANSFORMATION COMMITTEE
The Rural Health Transformation Committee was created by Senate Bill 1453 in the 2026 legislative session to oversee Idaho’s share of the federal Rural Health Transformation Program — a five-year, roughly $930 million grant intended to expand healthcare access and improve outcomes in rural communities. The committee provides governance and recommendations to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare as the state works to award the funds.
