NEWSLETTER: Risch Roundup: From the Palouse to the Sawtooths

As your Senator, it’s my honor to represent the people of Idaho and protect our way of life.

I had the pleasure of spending the August work period meeting with Idahoans from across the Gem State. We discussed what matters most to Idahoans, whether that’s Republicans’ historic tax cuts for working families, protecting our public lands, or the upcoming college football season.

Thanks to everyone who welcomed me and for all that you do for our great state!

Senator Crapo and I met with President Trump’s Secretary of Housing Scott Turner while he was in Boise to discuss housing issues.

Screenshot 2025 08 29 at 12.28.02 C2 BFPM — Was great to meet with members of the *USS Idaho* Commissioning Committee in the Wood River Valley. The *USS Idaho* is a leading-edge nuclear-powered submarine, and is expected to join the U.S. Navy fleet next year.

Took a walk down memory lane to visit my brothers at the Phi Delta Theta house. The fraternity continues to be filled with great young men!

The ICCU Arena at my alma mater was built almost entirely from wood sourced here in the Gem State. It’s a beautiful sight for a forester like me!

I had a great time meeting with the University of Idaho’s new Football Coach, Thomas Ford Jr. about the Vandals’ upcoming season.
