After several hours of debate in the House Health & Welfare Committee, five Republicans and three Democrats voted to hold the bill in committee, effectively killing it. A lot of people testified against the bill, worried they would lose their taxpayer-supported benefits.

Monday, 1/22/24:
Rep. Jordan Redman introduced a bill Monday morning that would set certain thresholds in the Medicaid program which, if the system fails, would trigger Idaho’s withdrawal from Medicaid Expansion. It was printed as H419.
